Our office is in San Diego and our projects run from the border to the high desert. Pricing a project in Chula Vista is not the same exercise as pricing one in Palm Desert, and we build every estimate against the jurisdiction where the work will actually be performed.
Why jurisdiction matters more than most owners expect
Two identical projects, forty miles apart, will not carry the same construction cost. The variables that move are rarely the ones on the drawings.
Labor availability and rates differ by submarket. Haul distances to and from disposal and import sites vary enormously. Agency plan check and inspection practice ranges from efficient to glacial. Improvement standards, storm water requirements, and traffic control expectations differ city by city. Impact fees can differ by a factor of three across a county line. And the subcontractor pool willing to travel to a given site changes what competitive bidding actually produces.
We track those differences because they determine whether a budget holds.

San Diego County is our home market and the source of most of our project history. We work regularly throughout Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Imperial counties, and we have performed selected assignments in Hawaii, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates.
