30 years of experience in construction, project management and development.
His depth of industry know-how makes him a valuable leader. He has
encountered many construction-related issues over the course of
his career and resolved them with success. From estimating to scheduling
and management to budgeting, Mr. Knight has the knowledge base and
problem-solving tools to resolve nearly every construction management
issue that may arise. In his role as Vice President, Mr. Knight
is a competent manager who leads his team with a “can-do”
attitude, offering assistance, advice and suggestions from project

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Estimating and Project Management Experience
J.T. Kruer & Company
Vice President responsible for managing, estimating and scheduling
residential, commercial and industrial construction management for
many of the firm’s clients. Pro-active procurement specialist
accountable for budgeting and forward planning of future projects.
Mentors and supervises much of the J.T. Kruer & Company team.
Recent successful project accomplishments include Escala-Mission
City, four large residential subdivisions in the Santa Fe Valley
area and the San Diego Spectrum project in Kearny Mesa, winner of
the American Society of Civil Engineer’s 2002 “Outstanding
Project Award”.
Granite Construction Company
As Senior Estimator/Project Manager, estimated and managed large
heavy highway and civil engineering projects. Working knowledge
of CalTrans/White Book specifications in both Imperial and Metric
systems. Principal estimator for the Rancho Cielo Estates earthwork,
water storage, pumping facilities and surface improvements project
(a $70 million contract). Project Manager for the proposed Shadowrock
golf course in Palm Springs in addition to several local projects
in San Diego.
RLF Inc./RLF Concrete Inc.
Senior Estimator and Project Manager for RLF, and General Manager
for RLF Concrete. Chief estimator, managed bid review process, oversaw
field operations and supervised all personnel. Lead responsibility
for estimating and constructing residential asphalt paving and site
work. Coordinated with other subcontractors in the construction
of large residential and commercial projects with aggressive completion
schedules. Clients included Eastlake Development-Hills and Shores,
McKellar Development-Renaissance and R.B. McComic-Bridelwood.

Laborer in the field. Quickly promoted to foreman and
